Petitions:  Since this is a statewide issue, the following petitions invite anyone in Connecticut to sign.

Hamden:  An online petition has been posted on Change.org regarding UI's tree removal and pruning plan:

Past Meetings:
Tuesday, July 15, Meeting in Fairfield with UI at  Greenfield Hill Congregational Church Memorial Hall at 7:30 to 9:00 pm

Thursday, Jan. 9 the Whitneyville Civic Association,  7:30 p.m. at Whitneyville Church, discussion of the plan.

Monday, Jan. 13 the Dunbar Hill Civic Association hosted Jim Cole, the Director of Transmission, Distribution, Operations and Maintenance for United Illuminating, with John Mitchell and Ken Bullard of UI.  They spoke about the plan and heard comments and questions from the public and local public officials.   7:15 p.m. at the Dunbar Hill Volunteer Fire Station, 420 Dunbar Hill Road.

Wednesday, Jan. 15 UI hosted a workshop (UI Tree Management Session) on its plans at 6:30 p.m. at the Hamden Middle School, 2623 Dixwell Avenue.  The meeting lasted over 3 hours due to questions and comments from those in attendance.

A meeting was held between United Illuminating and the Woodbridge Board of Selectmen to discuss UI's plans for tree removal and pruning on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at 6:00 pm in the Meeting Room at the Woodbridge Town Hall, Meetinghouse Lane, Woodbridge.

Town Meeting about proposed tree pruning and removal with United Illuminating, Milford Town Hall, 70 West River Street, held Wednesday, April 2 at 7:00 pm.

Meeting with United Illuminating in Woodbridge, Gym at Old Center School, 4 Meeting House Lane, was held Thursday, May 15, 2014 at 7:00 pm.

Meeting with United Illuminating in West Haven, West Haven City Hall, Harriet North Room, 2nd floor, 355 Main Street, ws held on Wednesday, May 21 at 6 pm. 

Meeting with United Illuminating in Fairfield, Tomlinson Middle School Auditorium, 200 Unquowa Road, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 7 pm  Press Release : Opportunity to offer public comment and learn more about UI's Vegetation Management Program which involves tree trimming or removal
