AMERICAN GARDENS- EXISTING AND LOST
Smithsonian Institute Archives of American Gardens documents over 100,000 gardens across the country. The collection was started with glass lantern slides donated to the Smithsonian by the Garden Club of America in 1992. The Garden Club of New Haven has documented several gardens in New Haven, including the Elizabeth R. Hooker House (see photos below) .
